WHAT IS SSI-Supplemental Security Income? : Is a Federally funded program, it is funded by general tax revenues (not Social Security help through taxes).
The Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program pays benefits to disabled persons (those who are mentally or physically disabled and unable to work) Adults and children who have limited income and resources. SSI Las Vegas benefits also are payable to people 65 and older without disabilities who meet the financial limits.
WHAT IS SSDI-Social Security Disability Insurance? : Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) is a federal insurance program of the United States government. Eligibility is based on taxes paid and (Medi-Care credits) earned while working. In order to qualify for SSDI benefits, you must have earned the minimum amount of credits and have earned some of those credits in the last five out of ten years.
